We are happy to provide an initial consultation free of charge (dependent on location) to understand your needs and requirements and any potential difficulties through a site visit but PLEASE REFER TO YOUR INSURANCE POLICY for your potential unique requirements or for further information on this service please contact us.

Under The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR) employers have a legal obligation to protect the health and safety of their employees and to ensure that all electrical equipment and systems used under their control are safe.

These responsibilities have been placed on both employers and employees as duty holders. Faulty equipment or wiring within your buildings could pose a danger and risk of injury to your staff or damage to your buildings.  Not adhering to these regulations could also result in loss of earnings or even loss of your business should an insurance claim become invalid due to the neglect of faulty equipment.

To comply with these regulations you must be able to provide proof that all electrical equipment and systems are safe and have been properly inspected and tested by a certified professional.

Pensdown offer a number of testing services to certify compliance for your insurance requirements and The Electricity at Work Act.

These include:

The Electrical Safety Council (ESC) recommends that electrical systems in domestic properties should be inspected and tested every 10 years unless the property is rented in which case they recommend that this is done every 5 years. Periodic inspection and testing of your electrical systems in the home verifies that your electrical installation is safe for continued use. Certification of this may be required when selling your home.

Our fully qualified engineers will test all aspects of your electrical systems in line with the current regulations and record any faults, defects or deterioration that could pose a safety risk. On completion, we will provide you with a report of our findings and advise on the safest and most cost effective way of resolving any issues.
