On January 1st 2005, changes were made to
building regulations which affect us all. Part P was introduced and in
summary, it now makes most electrical work within domestic premises a
"Controlled Services". If you would like more information and help

On the
21st May 2004, BS-6701 was published which sets out the standards for
Telecommunication Cabling, administration and maintenance. It also
refers to Structured Cabling Installations. For a copy of these new

On the 1st April 2004, new cable colours were
introduced for fixed wiring. Although it is not compulsory to use the
new colours until the 31st March 2006 most suppliers now only stock the
new colours so we are now adopting the new EU harmonised colours. For
