Welcome To Pensdown's Home Page

Whether you are a large corporation or a domestic home owner, Pensdown can help you with most of your Electrical, IT and Controls System requirements.  We are a family owned company with traditional values based on honesty, quality and most of all, value for money.  Over the past 15 years we have carried out contracts ranging from water feature controls systems on cruise ships that are based all over the world to assisting DIY'ers who need a little help with the wiring at home.  Our services are second to none and we never oversell and under deliver unlike a lot of other companies within our industry.

Please follow the links to see the full range of the main services that we offer and if we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • In December 2004 Pensdown was delighted to be awarded Gold Accreditation with Exor as this was one of the most rigours company checks that we have ever undergone.  Because developing and maintaining approved contractors can absorb a significant amount of your time, Exor's service frees you to focus on the core selection issues by removing the pre-qualification stage of contractor selection which includes:

  • In-depth financial analysis and scoring

  • Health and Safety compliance

  • Insurance confirmation and tracking

  • Licence and Permit confirmation and tracking

  • Extensive independent referencing

  • Equal Opportunities compliance

  • Probity Checks

  • On January 1st 2005, changes were made to building regulations which affect us all.  Part P was introduced and in summary, it now makes most electrical work within domestic premises a "Controlled Services".  If you would like more information and help complying with Part P please follows the link to "Domestic Installs"

  • On the 21st May 2004, BS-6701 was published which sets out the standards for Telecommunication Cabling, administration and maintenance.  It also refers to Structured Cabling Installations.  For a copy of these new regulations please go to the "Downloads" section.

  • On the 1st April 2004, new cable colours were introduced for fixed wiring.  Although it is not compulsory to use the new colours until the 31st March 2006 most suppliers now only stock the new colours so we are now adopting the new EU harmonised colours.  For more information please follow the link to the "Newsletter" section.
